Sicut cervus desiderat ad fontes aquarum,
ita desiderat anima mea ad te, Deus.
In die mandavit Dominus misericordiam suam,
et nocte declaravit apud me oratio Deo vitae meae.
English translation:
Like as the hart desireth the water brooks, so my soul longeth after thee, O God.The Lord asks for compassion in the day time, and in the night it is shown by Him; in his presence I speak my prayer unto the God of my life.
